Cedar (Cedre) is a small town located about 25-30km from the city of Jeremie (the principal city of the Grand’Anse region). Due to the poor road conditions, access to the school takes about 2.5hrs

Description
This school has 350 students, 10 teachers and included three (3) buildings.

Assessment of the building

After Hurricane Matthew, the students attended class in a hangar (all grade levels).

The work started in 2017

During years 2018-2019, in spite of numerous disruption of the building site due mainly to a very unstable political situation and some bad weather, we have been able to achieve the reconstruction of the three units of that school, the toilets and the director’s office.

Actually little retouches and general cleaning are still on hold since September 2019 (political) and March 2020 Covid-19

the project has finally been completed
